McLeish thought that having taken the lead after only four minutes through Mikael Forssell, Blues should have gone on to take all three points against Steve Coppell's side. "I thought we edged it and I think we should have taken all three points," the Blues boss told Sky Sports News after the 1-1 draw at St Andrew's. "It was a great flick on by Muamba and Mikael does what all international strikers do, he was in the right place at the right time. It was a fantastic start for us. "But, we took a point and it's very important we continue picking up points. The way we played today showed everyone what we can do."
"We'll remain positive because it was a decent performance. The guys took the game to Reading who are a good side, buoyed by their performance against Liverpool last week.
"The equaliser was a calamity and the player (Mat Sadler) knows that next time he should put the ball in the stand.
