Substitute Garry O'Connor's 75th minute headed goal gave Blues their first away win of the season although they could, and should, have won by more than just the one goal at The KC Stadium on Saturday afternoon. "You aim to win your home games and those points keep you in the league and away points help you climb the table. "I think it was a well deserved victory. We had plenty of chances and looked dangerous when we went forward. "This does wonders for our confidence levels.
"It's an enormous win. We know that away points are precious in this league," McLeish told BBC Radio WM after the match.
"Despite only having 17 players I knew that I had a pretty decent team out on the pitch and they stood up to the plate.
"I thought the performance level was excellent."
