Bruce's View: Portsmouth

The Blues boss admitted that neither side had played well and that the 0-0 scoreline was a fair reflection of the game.

"When you've seen something like that you've got to be honest - it was pretty poor stuff, from both teams," Bruce said after the match.

"It was enivitable that it was going to end up a 0-0.

"In the second half we were slightly better but you just have to say that it had that horrible look about it.

"Portsmouth are still looking over their shoulders and they'll be delighted with going home with a point.

"The game cried out for someone to put their foot on the ball and take control. It became tense and edgy.

"We probably had the best chances, which is expected when you're at home, but I can't remember their goalkeeper having to make too many saves and so it would have been unjust on Portsmouth if they hadn't got something from the game."
