Bruce's View: Norwich (a)

"First and foremost you have got to give credit to Darren Huckerby," Bruce said after the 1-0 defeat at Carrow Road.

"It was a wonderful piece of skill. That's what he is capable of doing so the defending from our players was disappointing.

"We've hardly conceded a goal in the last five or six games so it was strange to see them backing off and not making a tackle.

"It was a great goal if you were a Norwich fan but not so good from our point of view although, I'll say again, it was a wonderful piece of skill."

Despite conceding just two minutes into the second half Bruce thought that Blues had created enough chances to have taken something from the game.

"We improved a lot after the break and would have come away with something had we taken one of the chances that came our way.

"That has been something of an Achilles heel for us. We haven't scored freely enough and that came back to haunt us again.

"But, overall, looking at the table now we're still in a good position, there's still everything to play for."
