Blues found themselves three goals down after the first fourty five minutes at Eastlands and ultimately suffered their worst defeat of the season against Stuart Pearce's side. "We pride ourselves on organisation and team spirit at this club but all that has evaporated here. We were totally and utterly pathetic.
"It was embarrassing what I have just witnessed. It was a total pasting," Bruce told Sky PremiershipPlus after the 4-1 drubbing.
"To say I am hugely disappointed is an understatement. They couldn't have got any worse from the first to the last whistle.
"I can not defend them because we have been totally outplayed. It was a humiliation.
"As manager you take overall responsibility but it is about time some of our players stood up to be counted."
