Blues trailed 2-1 to Mike Newell's side but Neil Danns' injury time equaliser earned them a point and took them nine points clear at the top of the Championship table (before Saturday's games of course). "We never gave it up again and got something out of a game we looked like losing at one point," the Blues boss said after the 2-2 draw at St Andrew's. "I think with the state of the pitch, the rain and wind you have to give credit to Luton who played exceptionally well. "Individually it was an off night for us. It was never going to be a classic game but we showed great resilience and got something out of the game which I didn't think was possible. "This is a difficult time with games coming thick and fast and I thought about making other changes, but the pitch, which we are digging up, didn't help. "We are going to drop points but this is a marathon. We are in a good position and we have to build upon this lead."
