The Blues boss felt that the England Under 21 international striker had turned in probably his best performance since his £3million signing from Cardiff City in the summer. "We were worthy winners and all credit to the players. We looked comfortable all afternoon and we have some good young players. "Cameron Jerome had his best game for us. I've been criticised that the team doesn't play with enough flair but I think this afternoon we've shown that we have that bit of quality. "Expectation is high at Birmingham and we deserve to be at the top.
"All our best performances are away from home and we played very well today especially in the first half," Bruce said after 1-0 win against his former club.
"I think we need 90 points to be OK for promotion but having said that other teams could come strong. I think we have the right blend to see us through."
