As was the case in the Carling Cup defeat to Fulham in midweek, Blues completely dominated the game against Iain Dowies Premiership new boys at St. Andrew's but succumbed once again to the killer blow of a goal on the break from the visitors.
Blues have now failed to find the net in their last three games, a statistic that is now playing on the mind of the beleaguered Blues boss.
"We've had 70% of the possession, a lot of opportunities, but the simple fact is if you don't score a goal then you do have a big problem on your hands," the Blues boss said after the game.
"I am not talking just about the strikers. I am talking about the entire 11 who take the field of play.
"It is everyone's responsibility but we are finding it difficult at moment.
"I said on Wednesday after the defeat by Fulham the same things as I am saying today.
"You can see all the tension and frustration with everyone. But the Premiership is difficult and we didn't expect an easy ride.
"We expected the results to be better but anyone can see there isn't much wrong with the exception of us not scoring.
"It is hugely frustrating and disappointing for everyone concerned because there is no way we can lose that game."
