Taylor - Not a lot he could do about the goal, and otherwise ok handling wise. Some dreadful kicking though.
Melchiot - Getting better by the game. Some excellent defensive play and great going forwards too.
Gray - Did reasonably well in a fairly alien position. Needs to be a little cleverer when he gets into decent positions, following his little tricks and skill.
Upson - Awful distribution, and pretty lax defending for the goal.
Cunningham - Generally sound, good reading of the game as per usual.
Gronkjaer - Constant threat in the second half, and a pity the strikers couldn't give him more reward for his crosses.
Johnson - Struggled a little on the left, as you'd expect someone playing out of position to, but did ok.
Clemence - Worked hard and was fairly involved, but couldn't create enough.
Izzet - Read Clemence.
Forssell - Still looks to be struggling and needs to find his form.
Heskey - Poorest performance to date, but still a handful. Needs to give the ankle a rest.
SUBS:
Morrison - Did reasonably well, and seemed to read Heskey better than Forssell does.
John - Did ok, like Morrison, but just didn't get the opportunites.
