Player Ratings

Taylor - Little to do first half then at fault for the Norwich equaliser but saved the blushes with a good save from Huckerby late-on.

Melchiot - Effective for the first forty-five minutes before being substituted, worryingly, through injury.

Clapham - Steady and got forward well in the first half.

Upson - Awful! Worse performance for a long time.

Cunningham - Below par and struggled with the pace of McKenzie in the second half.

Johnson - Better than of late.

Savage - Not at the races at all lately although an improved performance in the first 45 minutes.

Anderton - Best player on the pitch by a country mile but clearly tired towards the end of the game.

Dunn - Not as effective as we know he can be but he's getting there again after his lay-off.

Morrison - Linked well with Heskey and could have scored more than just the one he did manage.

Heskey - Caused Norwich all kinds of trouble but he has to start converting his chances.

SUBS:

Gronkjaer - Got in plenty of useful crosses again, all to no avail however.

Yorke - Ineffective.

Clemence - Anonymous.
