Taylor - Mixed, and perhaps could have done better with Okocha's late strike.
Melchiot - Struggled at times, and hasn't looked quite right since injury.
Tebily - More comfortable, but still shaky at times. Surely a left-back should play left-back?
Upson - Generally pretty solid.
Cunningham - Also pretty reliable.
Johnson - Not at his best first half, but did well second.
Lazaridis - In and out of the game.
Clemence - Did his best but tired.
Anderton - Again, tried his best, and some good touches.
Morrison - Still whinged too much, but looked a little more confident.
Heskey - Not his best evening's work, but he was due one poorer game. Still not that bad.
SUBS:
Gray - Lacking confidence.
Clapham - Didn't do a lot.
Yorke - Idle.
