Painter - Superb debut - composed and assured.
Cunningham - Solid as always.
Upson - Shaky first half, better in the second.
Johnson - Tremendous workrate as always.
Clemence - Excellent. Protected the back four superbly.
Butt - Exceptional performance from first to last whistle and duly rewarded with a goal. More of the same please.
Lazaridis - Anonymous throughout.
Dunn - Some nice touches first half, clearly tired during the second period.
Heskey - Lead the line superbly.
Subs:
Pennant (for Lazaridis 53) - Lively. Definately made a difference offensively.
Clapham (for Dunn 74) - Good cross which led to the goal.
Jarosik (for Tebily 69) - Tried hard and one good effort on goal.
