Player Ratings

Taylor
- Dealt with Leicester's notorious set pieces well, and generally sound handling.

Kenna - Struggled early on, but eased himself into game. Difficult for him to come in from the cold so suddenly.

Clapham - Still some bizarre distribution at times, but good assist, and adventerous late on.

Cunningham - Nearly back to his best with good reading of the game, and doing mostly the simple things.

Upson - Didn't allow himself to get embroiled in the battle Ferdinand and Dickov wanted, and made a good return.

Johnson - Excellent yet again. Certainly a right winger and not a right back, but the fact is wherever he plays, he's crucial.

Dunn - Quieter than usual, but at the same time probably more effective by keeping things simple. Promising.

Savage - He did it for 5 years at Leicester, and now they hate him for it, and Blues fans still love him for it.

Clemence - Not spectacular, but offered more balance and stability to the side.

Morrison - Very good return to the side, he competed well, linked well with Forssell and got a good goal too.

Forssell - Quiet in patches, but just get him the ball in the eighteen yard box and who cares about what else he does?

SUBS:

Lazaridis - Tried his best, but could have been more effective as a substitute against weary legs and just nine men.

Cisse - Kept things simple, and didn't dive in at all - a possible first?

John - Appalling initial contribution by tackling Dunn then giving the ball away, but got better and showed neat touches.

Subs not used: Bennett, Purse.
