Rovers took the lead inside ten minutes through Jon Douglas, and Alan Mahon made it two on the half hour mark with a left-footed shot.

Blues came back into the game in the second period and Craig Fagan scored with ten minutes remaining.

This proved to be just a consolation goal as Rovers held on to take all three points at Morecambes, Cristie Park ground.
