Blues are yet to have the pleasure of the Sommerset-based official taking charge of any of their games so far this season although he did take charge of two of our games last season.
The last time Steve Tanner took charge of a Blues fixture was in our 1-0 away win against Crystal Palace on 17th February this year. Seb Larsson was the only Blues player booked at Selhurst Park on that occasion.
Prior to the Palace game Mr Tanner had refereed our 3-2 away defeat to Leeds United on 23rd September 2006. The now departed trio of DJ Campbell, David Dunn and Marcos Painter were all booked on that day.
In total Steve Tanner has taken charge of 10 games so far this season in which he has handed out 32 yellow cards but no reds.
Steve Artis and Ron Ganfield will be Steve Tanners assistants for the game at St Andrew's on Saturday afternoon.
