Blues have not had the pleasure of the West Yorkshire-based official refereeing any of their games this season whilst Riley has taken charge of two Gunners game so far this campaign.

The last time Mike Riley refereed a Blues game was in our 2-0 home win against Aston Villa on 20th March 2005. Damien Johnson, Mario Melchiot and Matthew Upson all received cautions during that game.

The last time Mike Riley took charge of an Arsenal game was in their 1-0 home win against Manchester City on 22nd October 2005. Denis Bergkamp, Gael Clichy and Robert Pires were all cautined by Riley on that occasion.

In total Mike Riley has taken charge of 24 English League and Cup games so far this season in which he has handed out 82 yellow cards and 3 reds.
