| 2. I started as an amateur at Glasgow Rangers before joining Blues as an apprentice in July 1970, signing professional forms 12 months later. |
| 3. Playing at both centre-back and centre-forward I went on to make more than 200 appearances in a Blues shirt, scoring 53 goals in total. |
| 4. In July 1977 I was transferred to Nottingham Forest where I won a League Championship medal, a League Cup winners medal and the Footballer of the Year award in my first season at The City Ground. |
