Lazaridis played no part in the first game between the two sides in Sydney when the Socceroos cruised to a 7-0 victory but he was used as a second half substitute in the second game in Honiara which the Aussies won 2-1, Archie Thompson and Brett Emerton on target for Guus Hiddink's side.
The Socceroos will now play-off against the fifth-best South American nation in November for a place in the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
