Maik Taylor and Damien Johnson were both selected in Lawrie Sanchez's starting XI for Northern Ireland's international friendly against Malta in Valletta.
The visitors took a ninth minute lead at Ta'Qali National Stadium through Leeds United striker David Healy, Johnson the provider for that goal, but the home nation drew level on 36 minutes through Ivan Woods.
Taylor proved to be the hero for Ireland when saving an 89th minute penalty from George Mallia.
Both Taylor and Johnson completed the full ninety minutes for the Irish who had Keith Gillespie sent off in the second half by referee Mike Riley.

One time Blues trialist Alexei Eremenko Junior scored two first half goals for the visiting nation at the City Stadium in Skopje as the Finns ran-out comfortable 3-0 winners. Paulus Roiha bagged the third goal in stoppage time.
Forssell played for 62 minutes of the game.

The Danes scored three times in seven minutes through Dennis Rommedahl (60 minutes), Jon Dahl Tomasson (63) and Michael Gravgaard (67).
Wayne Rooney pulled one back for England three minutes from the end of normal time but Soren Larsen grabbed a fourth for the Danes in stoppage time.
