To go to the Valley and come home with a point is a very good result. Okay we had the chance to take all three points when Hughes had a one-on-one with Dean Keily but spooned it and put the ball wide, but a draw against the seventh placed side on their own patch keeps Blues European dreams alive.
A quick mention for Clinton Morrison, his first goal since the away defeat at Middlesbrough last month should help boost his confidence for the run-in. Lets just hope so!
UEFA places are still there to play for, but we will have to be at our best for the rest of the season to gain points from the likes of Arsenal away and Liverpool at home.
It's going to be difficult, but it is certainly possible to take at least three points from these two games.
Lets now look ahead to winning the local Derby game against Wolves at home next weekend. A good result next Sunday and our aim for a UEFA cup spot would be well and truly revitalised.
