After not getting an away win so far this season Blues managed to knock together and produce a great result - whether it was pretty or not doesn't matter, the fact is we picked up maximum points, which helped us in climing further from the dreaded foot of the table.
It was a tough encounter, with little breath taking football, but Blues kept on working and just had the rub of the green.
It was good for Darren Anderton to get a goal, like Bruce said "after all the lads hard work, he deserved it" and he definately did.
Blues defended well, and thanks to some great shot stopping from Maik Taylor we were able to keep a clean sheet, as well as full points.
Final score:
Liverpool 0 Blues 1
(Anderton 77)
