Yorke To Sign For Sydney

According to the chairman of the Australian club, the Blues striker will sign a two-year deal with the Hyundai A-League side despite the pllayer receiving a late offer to join Qatar.

"Apart from the fact that he likes the feel of our club and what we are trying to achieve, he also wanted to work with our coach Pierre Littbarski," Sydney chairman Walter Bugno told Fox Sports News.

"Dwight had a long chat with Pierre when he was in Sydney recently and he liked the style of football we are going to play and the whole structure."

Yorke, who will officially sign for Sydney on the 1st July, has made just 4 starts, with a further nine appearances from the subs bench, and scored two goals since joining Blues from Blackburn Rovers in August.
