When I renewed my season ticket

On Saturday I rang the club enquiring about the availability of tickets for their corporate package for the game with Manchester United on December 28th to be told they have sold-out!

My reason for enquiring is that I have only six stamps, out of a possible eleven, on the away stamp card the club uses to sell tickets to travelling Blues fans, so I didn't feel confident in getting a ticket for this game and chose to go for the more expensive option.

When told they had sold out of these tickets I asked the telephonist at the club who the tickets had been sold to. She said she didn't know the names of the people but said that they HAD been sold to NON season ticket holders!

I find this hard to believe because season ticket holders could not buy tickets for this game until today (Monday 2nd December) at the earliest, so season ticket holders have not been given priority on away tickets.

1. When buying a season ticket or asked to buy a season ticket does not the club's criteria state that those who do will get priority for all away matches?

2. Obviously the club can't satisfy this because of the amount of tickets they are allocated so they introduce an away stamp card system.

Neither of these two things have been considered in the selling of these Man Utd tickets.

I would be quite happy to accept that I can't go to this game in the knowledge that season ticket holders with more away stamps on their cards than I, have taken the tickets because they have attended more games than me.

THIS QUITE CLEARLY WILL NOT BE THE CASE FOR THIS GAME.
