Upson Rejects New Contract Offer

The England international centre-back had been offered a new improved deal by Blues but his agent, Barry Neville has said that Upson turned it down as he is keen to play European football.

"We did speak to Birmingham about a new contract but Matt decided he did not want to accept it," Neville has said.

"I think Matt feels he needs to be playing in Europe."
