The 24-year-old Blues defender will be looking to add to his tally of five England caps having been included in Sven-Göran Eriksson's squad for the game against the Danes at Old Trafford on Sunday, England's last match on home soil for six months.

With Rio Ferdinand, Sol Campbell and Jonathan Woodgate missing from the 23-man squad, Upson must have a good chance of making the starting eleven although Eriksson has recalled Gareth Southgate.

Upson joins Kenny Cunningham, Clinton Morrison, Darren Carter, Aliou Cisse and Olivier Tebily as Blues players called-up for international duty over the next week or so.
