However, news of Leeds full-back Danny Mills' availability being made known last week spurred the Blues boss into transfer activity once again.
Mills, however, decided on a move to Middlesbrough in preference to Blues leaving fans wondering if Bruce would delve back into the market for a right-back, a position he feels the side needs cover in.
My guess is that there will be no new faces at Blues before Sunday unless a player, as in the Mills situation, is made publicly available and is one that Bruce feels will improve the side and is available on loan.
As for outgoings, rumours of Everton's interest in midfielder Robbie Savage have resurfaced following their failure to capture Sean Davis from Fulham.
Once again I feel this is a non-starter - during this transfer window at least!
