Taylor had been limited to just one substitutes appearance because of Blues progression in the FA Cup, and he being cup-tied, but finally made the starting line-up in Blues' midweek win against Middlesbrough.
Tiny Taylor
The towering centre-back kept his place in Steve Bruce's side for the game against Bolton after an eye catching performance against the Carling Cup winners, in which he scored his first goal in a Blues shirt.
On Saturday, Taylor put in another accomplished performance in the 2-0 home win against Sam Allardyce's men, limiting the threat of Wanderers marksman Kevin Davies to a minimum.
"We've been quite tight at the back since I came into the team," Taylor told Capital Gold Radio after the game against Wanderers.
"Kenny Cunningham has been fantastic the last two games I've been in. He's talked to me before the games, he's told me how to play, because obviously coming into a new team you play slightly different.
"Matty Upson and Olivier Tebily have both helped out too and we've been quite tight at the back the last couple of games which is what I needed coming into the team.
"You never know how it's going to go when you move to a new club and I was just pleased to get the ninety minutes in (against Boro) and try and play as much as I can."
