Blues have confirmed that they have now received international clearance for the Uruguyuan striker and he could make his bow in the home game against Southampton on Wednesday night.
Pandiani was signed on loan from Deportivo La Coruna on transfer deadline day and the club have confrimed that the deal is with a view to making the move a permanent one.
The 28-year-old forward will wear the Number nine shirt vacated by Mikael Forssell who had to return from his loan spell from Chelsea because of injury.
