The Horse, who joined first division Wigan Athletic just three months ago for £1million from Blues, is set for a quick return to the Midlands with Gary Megsons promotion hopefuls. "It's a difficult one as we don't want him to go and I've told him so, but you can understand why, with him knowing about West Brom's interest, he might want to," Wigan boss Paul Jewell told the club's official website. "I've spoken to Geoff at length and explained that I don't want to lose him, but it looks likely that the move will go through. "We've tried hard to convince him to stay and though it's not a done deal yet, West Brom have made a bid for the player and we have reluctantly accepted it." Horsfield became a firm favourite with the Blues fans after his move from Fulham in August 2000. He spent just over three years at the club making 95 appearances and scoring 28 goals during his time at St Andrew's before moving to the JJB Stadium in September.
