The Blues defender, who has 16 international caps to his name, has not been named in Ivory Coast manager Henri Michel's 23-man squad for the tournament in Germany.

The Ivory Coast, who will be making their World Cup debut in Germany, are in Group 'C' of the tournament along with Argentina, Holland and Serbia & Montenegro.
