The 40-year-old Northern Ireland international stopper, who was released by Blues during the close-season, has signed a short term deal until January with The Whites after impressing manager Simon Grayson whilst training with the Yorkshire outfit.
Grayson told his club's official website: "He's been training with us for a couple of weeks now and he's a good addition for us.
"We've obviously been looking at the goalkeeping situation and with the loan window closing now you have to make sure you're covered.
"It's good to have Maik as part of the squad."
