The Blues' leading goalscorer this season sustained a hamstring injury and was substituted 31 minutes into the 2-0 win against Forest at St Andrews last weekend. "He tweaked his hamstring," Blues boss Alex McLeish told the Birmingham Mail. "The scan revealed it was a very small tear and as such they've said it was a Grade One tear, which is two or three weeks out. "Kevin said he's a quick healer. If he's back sooner than three weeks, it will be a plus for us."
Phillips has undergone scans on the injury and it has been diagnosed that he tore his hamstring which will keep him sidelined for a minimum three weeks.
