The 31-year-old Australian international winger's current deal at St Andrew's was due to expire next summer but he has verbally agreed to sign a new two year deal, with a further 12 months option on that, when the squad return from the pre-season tour of Germany.
Lazaridis was seen by many Blues fans to be the clubs most improved player last season when, with a decent run in the side, he put in a number of eye catching performances.
