The Blues winger underwent minor surgery on his troublesome groin injury just before the final game of the season against Arsenal and will not have recovered in time to play in the game against New Zealand which takes place at Fulham's Craven Cottage on June 9th.

Lazaridis is also unlikely to figure in Socceroo's coach Frank Farina's squad for the forthcoming Confederations Cup game against Germany in Frankfurt on June 15th.
