The Australian international has started in three and been sub in two of Blues' six Premiership games so far this season and played his best game for a long while in the 2-0 victory over Portsmouth on Saturday.
Speaking after the game against Pompey, in which he scored his first goal of the season, Stan told Tom Ross on Capital Gold Radio: "The manager has plans for certain games and sometimes when I've been left out it has not been because of my performances.
"I've started against Newcastle and Leeds away and was then left out against Fulham and Spurs at home and you think 'What's going on?'
"But credit to the manager. The different teams he is putting out for different opponents are collecting points.
"I do sincerely love playing for this club and I want to make sure I do well and help the club to progress."
