Blues looked to have lost the race to sign the England Under 21 international centre-back as he seemed destined to join Midlands rivals Wolves.

However, Blues have allegedly met the personal terms being demanded by the 22-year-old former Walsall defender and he is expected to move to St Andrews imminently for an estimated £4million fee.
