Shroot had been loaned to the League Two side on a season-long loan deal with Burton, who are managed by former Blues striker Paul Peschisolido, having the option to end the deal in January.
However, The Brewers have confirmed on their official website that they have come to an agreement for the 21-year-old Blues midfielders loan deal to be ended prematurely and although he will still technically be on loan with them until January he will no longer train with or play for them.
This is the second time that Shroot has had a loan deal cut short as last season he returned to Blues just three weeks into an agreed one month loan deal with Walsall claiming that he was not playing enough first team football.
This season Shroot has started just four times for The Brewers in their opening eleven League Two fixtures.
