“We have seen the quality of the signings the gaffer has made this year and he has done fantastically well.
“Survival will continue to be the target for the next three or four years, but the future of the club is looking good.
“I’ve enjoyed my football this year, personally. I think I’ve played my best football this season for Wales and Birmingham.
“There’s nothing more I’d like to do now than sit down with the gaffer and chairman and sign a long-term contract and stay here for the rest of my career.”
Savage still has two years to run on the three year contract he signed when joining Blues from Leicester City last summer.
