"The next three game are massive for us," said Savage. "We have got to be looking to take at least six points from them.
"If we do that then we can then really look forward to the big games that come next. On the other hand, if we don't get anything out of the next three, the ones that follow will become huge for us.
"You don't want to be going up to Manchester United under pressure to get anything, especially the way they are playing at the moment. Arsenal can beat anybody on their day and Leeds will probably be back at the races by the time we go there on New Year's Day.
"So our next three games are vital. They will shape our season. We need six points from them and I believe we will achieve that."
Manager Steve Bruce will also have striker Geoff Horsfield available for the game at Loftus Road - the 'horse' having completed his three match suspension for his sending off in the Worthington Cup defeat against Preston last month.
