Savage limps out of Wales victory

Savage picked up an ankle injury after just 17 minutes of the game while rushing in on the Azerbaijan goalkeeper Djakhangir Gasanzade and was forced to retire from the game at The Millenium Stadium.

X-rays have showed that Savage, who is suspended for Blues next two Premiership fixtures, has damaged ankle ligaments and is likely to be sidelined for two to three weeks.
