The Welsh international was charged after using the referee's toilet at Filbert Street without permission before Leicester's Premiership match with Aston Villa on 20th April.
Savage was reprimanded, warned as to his future conduct and fined £10,000 - and he must also pay the costs of the hearing.
FA rules state that players are not allowed to enter the official's room without permission.
The 27-year-old had already been fined two weeks wages by former club, Leicester.
Savage had claimed he was suffering from a stomach complaint and was forced to use the nearest available facility.
