The Blues midfielder told the B'ham Sunday Mercury: "After what happened last time, when we had a crowd invasion and a fine, I have fears about the kick-off time.
"This match is as passionate as any other in the country - and I would include Rangers and Celtic in that.
"To kick it off at 8pm, when the pubs have been open all day, may be inviting unnecessary trouble. You can't expect fans not to have a drink or two on the way to the game. It's part of their night.
"But we all know there are dangers in that situation and I think the FA should take another look at the kick-off time.
"If they do decide to keep it at 8pm on the Monday, then I would appeal to all our fans to be on their best behaviour."
