The international midfielder spoke of his desire to remain at Blues ahead of what he describes as the biggest game of is career when Wales take on Russia for a place in the Euro 2004 Championships next year.
“It was a fact that Everton put in a £3million bid for me and the club turned it down. I didn’t ask to go and I don’t want to go," he said.
“I am looking forward to a long career with Birmingham City and hopefully enjoying some success at the club.
“The sooner that I can sign a new contract and commit myself for a long time to Birmingham City, the better.”
