The young left-back has just completed one month at the Sixfields but will now remain with the Cobblers for a further one month.
Sadler has played in the Cobblers last four league games but was not cup-tied as Blues refused Northampton permission to play him in their second round FA Cup tie against Weston-Super-Mare earlier this month.
