The Leeds official, who earlier this week was chosen as one of the twelve referees for the European Championships in Portugal next year, has so far this season officiated in 9 Premier League games dishing out a total of 32 yellow cards and 1 red.
Mr Riley was last seen by Blues fans in the local derby clash against the Villa at St. Andrew's in October when Blues midfielders Robbie Savage and Stephen Clemence were booked.
The last time Mr Riley refereed a Leicester game was in their 3-0 victory against Mancester City at The Eastlands when he booked Muzzy Izzet and Billy McKinlay.
