Blues leading goalscorer was forced to sit-out the away draw at Stamford Bridge last sunday because part of the loan agreement with Chelsea was that the Finland international played no part in either of the games between the two sides.
So, with manager Steve Bruce promising to field his strongest side against the first division strugglers, Forssell is expected to make an immediate return to spearheading the Blues attack in the 4th round tie at St. Andrews.
Bruce, who will be in charge of a side in the 4th round for the first time in his short managerial career, is left with the dilemna of choosing between Stern John or Clinton Morrison to partner Forssell in the Blues forward line.
With the continued absence of Christophe Dugarry, Morrison had been Bruce's choice to partner Forssell prior to the game against Chelsea but the performance of John at Stamford Bridge must have left the Blues boss with food-for-thought.
Blues will be looking to proceed to the fifth round of the competition for the first time since 1998 when on that occasion they were beaten 3-2 by Leeds Utd at Elland Road .. To View Blues Cup History, CLICK HERE
