The 30-year-old former Scotland international's one month loan deal expire's this coming weekend but he will not be available for selection for Friday's match against Swansea City at The Liberty Stadium having been sent-off for two yellow card offence's during his second Blues start against Charlton on Saturday. "I can't do anything more. My family's here. My son is in nursery here. It's just a bit unfortunate to be in that situation of if I'm going to stay or not. "It's hard when you have been out for so long. You can play behind closed doors but it's different to a match because it's a lot sharper.
"Saturday was my second competitive game which I've really enjoyed," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"I really want to stay and I really want to be part of the boys, who are a fantastic group to be around.
"I think I will be really up to speed with a few more games.
"I'm getting there."
