If weekend reports are to be believed then the Leicester City midfielder is as good as a Blues player once the transfer window opens later this month.
Leicester have already admitted that they are resigned to losing Izzet after the last game of the season next saturday and Blues boss Steve Bruce is reportedly favourite to sign the player.
However, Harry Redknapp has now also confirmed that he would be interested in taking Izzet to Fratton Park although the Pompey boss has admitted that the players salary may prove to be beyond what his club can pay.
