The 33-year-old defender had been training with Blues during their tour of his homeland Norway and Bruce was hoping to see the former Ajax player in action during last nights final game of the tour against Bran Bergen.
That failed to materialise however as Bergdolmo's agent couldn't get clearance for him to play and now the Blues boss has revealed that the player has the offer of a two year deal elsewhere.
Bruce is keen to sign a left sided player and also had former Newcastle and Southampton left-back Olivier Bernard training with the squad out in Norway for a few days.
