Following on from his good second half showing in the midweek drubbing at Spurs, Morrison was substituted in injury time during the 2-1 win over the Saints at St. Andrew's and left the field to rapturous applause after what must be his best performance in a Blues shirt since he arrived at the club in the summer of 2002 for what was then a record transfer fee of £4.25million.
The former Crystal Palace striker didn't get on the scoresheet but his workrate, his holding-up of the ball and his link play with Mikael Forssell was there for all to see.
What we Blues fans want now from Morrison is the same week-in/week-out. He has a great opportunity to claim a regular place in Steve Bruce's starting eleven with the continued absence of Christophe Dugarry through injury and an out of form Stern John.
More performances like that in saturdays win against Gordon Strachans side will leave Bruce with a dilemna I'm sure he wants - who to play up front!
More of the same please Clinton!
